Chris Slattery is a director at Maximus International and has over twenty years of experience within the consulting sector. She began her career in education and spent a considerable amount of time working in corporate sales management and leadership. She also founded and successfully ran her own strategic resourcing and advisory firm for over 10 years. Chris is currently focused on leadership and growth agendas both within and outside of Maximus.
In her role at Maximus, Chris leads the firms operations and human capital direction. She works closely with our executive team to ensure that growth is the result of highly capable people, who partner with clients to transform their organisations and the leaders within.
Chris heads up our government portfolio, which includes such clients as Transport for NSW and has also worked with other clients including the Australian Taxation, Westpac, AMP, News Corp, QBE, Macquarie and Wesfarmers. Chris appreciates the amazing network of people she works with and the long-term relationships she has fostered. She prides herself on living by her motto of ‘having fun, never hurting anyone and contributing where she can’.
Food and family are Chris’ biggest joys outside of work. She loves all things food-related – discovering, cooking, eating, talking about and sharing it. She starts each day with a walk with her partner and two dogs – a ritual that she says keeps her grounded, gives her perspective and brings her happiness.
“I believe leadership is not a title. Leadership is seeing something that needs to be done and doing it. My personal philosophy is to have fun, never hurt anyone and contribute where I can.”
